OK, meme time b/c SHG tagged me...

1. What were three of the stupidest things you have done in your life?

- “Defaced” a National Historical Landmark. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
- Ran my credit card debt up to astronomical levels…twice. Spending money is a poor coping mechanism.
- Capitulated to my father in college and majored in Geology. What a fucking mistake, but I am not sure I had too much choice. This is really a subset of having repressed myself, my personality and own thoughts for a very long time.
- OK, this is four, but I am full of stupid mistakes: Moved to Kingwood in the suburbs of Houston rather into town as a native-Houstonian friend urged. That was a big one.

2. At the current moment, who has the most influence in your life?

Oh geez, I dunno. At least the question is phrased to be more than one person.
Personal? Professional? Spiritual?
How about this: The generally ignorant sheep-like citizens of this country because they keep me in a semi-constant state of irritation, frustration, and generally foreboding state of mind. Think: I can see the Dark Ages coming and don’t quite what to do about it.

3. If you were given a time machine that functioned, and you were allowed to only pick up to five people to dine with, who would you pick?

- Matthew
- My paternal grandmother, b/c she died on my first birthday and is always somehow with me.
- My maternal grandmother, b/c I never knew her (she could still be alive but I doubt it) and apparently she was a fucking c**t, and I would like to form my own opinion.
- Two others, but I don’t want to get *that* personal.

4. If you had three wishes that were not supernatural, what would they be?

- To be more intelligent than I am
- To have the conviction to take care of myself, body and soul
- To have enough money that I just don’t have to give a fuck and can pursue things I am really interested in

5. Someone is visiting your hometown/place where you live at the moment. Name two things you regret your city not having, and two things people should avoid.

Regret not having:
Anyplace truly interesting to just wander around
A well-planned transit system – that includes the highways

Avoid:
Anything outside the 610 loop
River Oaks

6. Name one event that has changed your life.

Matthew’s Death. But I cannot specify exactly how yet, it's too complex.
