There was an unexpected flurry of activity outside this morning as I toiled away working from home, many SUVs and minivans jockeying for parking as they ushered their little ones to the first day of school at the elementary school across the street. OH but what awaits you young one!! Knowledge! The most valuable thing you can ever receive and nobody can take it from you! I worry just what knowledge awaits him in these days of increased censorship, but that's a different topic.
I remember my first day of school, my Mom walked me over along with our cat and dog, and I happily trotted off for a new adventure. She was heartbroken, and cried the whole way back to the house.
