Dear Apple:
Your iTunes software v4.9, the most current one for Wndows, fucking sucks. Tracks imported at highest quality imported from mp3 or wma files skip when played in iTunes on the machine. The originals do not skip in Windows Media Player. Tracks ripped from CD by iTunes as mp3 at highest quality also skip when played on the machine. But they do not skip in Windows Media Player. Or when burned to CD. Isn't that funny? It's so fucking funny I could just wet myself. Fuck you.

[EDIT: OK, SHG fixed it. It's a QuickTime thing, change from DirectSound to WaveOut. That fixed it. And it sounds better. I should not have to fuck with it, though. Since iTunes is an apple product, shouldn't it be able to control/optimize QuickTime? Piece of crap.]
