Got-R-Done

Wow.

Got home from DC last night, it was really a great weekend. Met lots of new interesting people. The trip home itself was less than inspiring, but hey, that's air travel these days. Driving in through Stepford last night it was so humid the moisture in the air under the streetlamps looked almost like fog, but you could tell the difference. Nice long post with DC pictures to come later on (uploading pictures to blogger is less than easy...).

Part of this whole house-selling bit is to improve "curb appeal". Up here in the woods the north and west-ish sides of the house and garage get covered in black mildew and green mold (especially cement because it is so porous), and all wood surfaces turn black with time. My house is off-white and brick, so it was looking less than sexy. It had been repainted when I bought it so in only 5.5 years it got all greenish in areas. So I decided to get the house/driveway/garage power-washed. I tried to do it myself with a power-washed from Home Despot but nearly blew myself off the ladder in the process.

Anyway, Git-R-Done Powerwashing came while I was away and did every square inch of house, garage, deck, fence, including windows. Wow. It's like a new house. I mean, Holy Shit! They managed to minimize the egregious oil-stains on the driveway. Look at the pictures on the website above, that's really what my driveway looked like. The grout on the brick facades looks great. They even cleaned the gutters out (no small feat up there at the top of the McMansion). It looks great. Seriously, I am impressed. $600 well spent. Although I really did it for the free Git-R-Done t-shirt.
