txyankee's home improvement/sales tip #1

So part of this whole get-rid-of-the-house gig is repairs, so I always have a list of things to buy. Tonight I went to Home Depot to get slats for the fence since the pups, err, tried to escape again. Anyway, here's the tip:

1a. Don't go to Home Depot. Or Lowe's for that matter. Go to your local hardware store. Since I was at Home Despot anyway, I had to get another item they do not have at the hardware store...and so I got everything on my list..grrr...headache from walking through there.

1b. Don't go to Home Despot when stressed and a little irritable, like I did this evening. It's much better in an altered state, such as after a few cocktails.
