Before Rita: Wednesday afternoon, what to do?

For those of you perhaps wondering where Stepford (ok, ok, Kingwood, 77345) lies, here's a couple of maps. I'm 56 miles from the coast, and 32 miles from the head of Galveston Bay. So even with a little more northerly track, we're OK up there - a lot of wind and rain. It's at about 115 ft elevation, so no surge.

I just can't get too crazy over this... there are so many panicking people at Home Depot (the line for plywood was 30 pick-ups long, the line for generators was 100 people who camped out at 04.30 this morning), there's no gas left at many stations, etc., so you get the panic from them. I don't have warm fuzzies about Rita, but on the other hand, what else can I do? We've got. or are getting, most of what we need (but I would like a generator), and we're finishing securing our offices/servers/etc. at work, and SHG, G-Hop, D, and I have a plan (sort of), and R may join us.

Now, if we get really close in to the eye, e.g. a very hard turn right for Rita, then of course we're just fucked.
