A bunch of canine Katrina evacuaees are off to CA to new homes! Yay! I made sure to make a donation, as much as I can afford, to the Katrina Pet Rescue effort at PetSmart.
After reading this yesterday, I was moved to tears remembering my dog Hera, who died almost exactly 10 years ago. She was my baby.
