A local radio station, KTBZ (Clear Channel, feh!) has been doing this requestathon with the morning show for the last three days STRAIGHT, as in these guys have been on for about 78 hours. As of just now, they have raised $306,000+. Good for them! And 99% of the money is coming from Houston. All the money goes to the Red Cross. You request it, they play, you donate. They will stay on continuously until people stop requesting. It's normally the only morning show on normal radio I can stomach, and now I am suitably impressed.
