cat on a leash

This weekend has been pretty darned peaceful, in a quiet with a low-lying rumble of discontent kind of way, although that's not really really something I want to get into. Until this evening I had avoided all forms of technology. Friday night I had a nice dinner with my friends A&J and their new little one Victoria. That was so nice, just sitting peacefully with them, chatting, and having an awesome steak and loaded baked potato (oh, so NOT South Beach friendly, but hey I also gained 6 lbs in Dallas and am now back down a few so WTF?).

I had another awesome massage Saturday, although as usual I was late getting there: the odd juxtaposition of rushing to relax. Tooled around in the Triumph with SHG, had a nice meal with some brews over at Onion Creek, and then went home to just read with SHG. Sunday was relaxed in AM, ran some errands with SHG, then did a few things around the house. The house, by the way, is not getting too much attention on the market, $&^$#@, I think it is priced too high, which I thought from the beginning, but hey, what do I know? Other than some dow walking and going through the PILE of mail from being away and then buried at work for a week, that's about it. Oh, and I decided to delete most of my home email (something like 100 messages) that arrived in the last week and start from scratch: so if you have sent me a note and I do not reply, think of it as a system reboot.

Here's some pics of Frik hanging out outside, on a leash: he actually will walk on the leash, unless you do in a direction he does not want to go, in which case you just drag him.
