stupid stupid stupid

SHG made some comments on trade show behavior and idiocy last week. He mentioned to me that once upon a time there was a website of actual photos of bad booth behavior - with company names and all - imagine if you made it on there, oh crap!

Anyway, I get a post-show email today looking for business, trying to sell me new show stuff, etc. The exhibits business is a serious racket. Here's the piece of the email that pissed me off:

Just to check if the same egregious error was on their website, I had a look, and oh my, it is:

So what is the problem? There's no fucking country code on the International number in the email, or on the web.

Look kiddies, if you want international business, act like one and don't make big errors like "+858..." sans that little "1" that is the US country code. Dorks. NO BUSINESS FOR YOU.

I could go on about how jingoistic it is to just assume the rest of the world knows our country code once they dig on the web to find the place is in the U.S., but my fingers hurt from pounding the keyboard all morning.
