So another Krewe du Vieux has come and gone! SHG and Smiley and I are here in NOLA for the first parade of the 2008 Mardi Gras Season, and the ball afterward. We had a great time at both. The parade follows the old tradition of Mardi Gras by following satirical themes and making political commentary.
This year the theme was The Magical Misery Tour. There were lots of great floats in the different sub-Krewes with their own allied themes. Here are some pix from the parade:
