Went out for Happy Hour last night with R and and SHG, had a good time at J.R.'s. Looks like I have a trip to D.C. in my future, way cool. Went to Katz's for grub afterwards, mountain o' fried chicken... SHG is not afraid to eat and enjoy it, I love that.

Today, mile reprieve on this Mexico trip, now just leave Monday night return Wednesday morning. Going to Villahermosa on a WEE small plane, one of those that make me puke. Nice hotel though. Then off to Calagry Thursday night. I love Calgary. I cannot wait to get out of the heat. Preps for AAPG are coming along well, but I have to work for a good portion of the weekend. We're having a wine tasting that I am organizing, and the sommelier and catering queen are asking me "what about this, what about that", and I don't know what the Hell they are talking about. "Just make it nice, please no mushrooms 'cuz I'm allergic." We're having oysters at some point...OK, fine, my tummy will be in a knot so I'll pass on the slimey stuff, thanks.

Took the dogs on the bayou this morning, and Satchel went for a full-on swim. Great. Stinky puppy.
