A couple of folks have asked how the diet's going. Well, it's been two weeks today, and I am down about 6 lbs. Not as much as I would have liked, but pretty good. I'll stick to this phase I for a while longer because I have been naughty several times having alcohol etc., so I will not have any of that for a while either. I fell off the wagon Friday night and had the bread with a burger, wings with breading, real bread, and chocolate cake with ice cream. In the end the splurge was not worth it except for the good fresh bread and the chocolate cake.
The weight estimates are all screwy since I started with one scale that told me I had lost about 5 lbs and then broke (!) and now have a better one that also guesstimates your body fat. Interestingly, I am at 23% body fat, which is 3 points above the "OK" vs. "Overweight" line for my age group (35) and height (short). The new scale claimed 204.2 this morning, it was at 206 when I got it. SO, I could be as height as 7 lbs lost. Who knows. The good thing is that I am losing the weight, the diet is doable, and I will stick to it. The body fat % is actually more interesting. Tomorrow I start lifting again.
At least I don't look quite so "fat fuck" like in the mirror in the elevator...
