we don't want to play with others

Well, it looks like Iran does not want to be part of OPEC any longer, unless it can be the boss, of course.

Any interesting question, that is. Norway is not a member of OPEC and seems to benefit from that. I guess it could drive oil (and thus gasoline to an extent) prices down a bit by allowing them to blow past quotas. On the other hand, prices, in my humble opinion, will probably stay high because of general paranoia and the damaged pipeline situation in the Gulf of Mexico.
