don't we have other things to worry about?

Looks like the Bush Administration is launching a War on Porn (via AmericaBlog).

This is not about child pornography or exploitation, but rather more run of the mill stuff, that "threatens children and families", even if it is between consenting adults.

Oh come on, HOW does it threaten children and family? If you don't like it, don't watch it, and if you have kids, keep them away from it.

Fine fine fine, things like beastiality, urination, defecation, sadistic and masochistic behavior are not really run of the mill... but it's a free country. Wanna bet homosexuality will be thrown onto the watch-list, too? Because two guys fucking really threatens the fabric of society.

Perhaps we should go after other uncommon sexual behaviors, like two of the Christian Majority just kind of getting it on missionary-style, on a clean white towel spread over the bed, with a pile of moist towelettes for clean-up.

What this comes down to is censorship through law enforcement and judicial rulings rather than legislation. And I hate hate hate censorship of ANY kind.

Period.
