An interesting, if not slanted and somewhat sensationalised in the U.K.-way, article in The Independent Online Edition , on a U.S. government report (we'll see if its real...) on how many different factors combined to delay federal Katrina response (Iraq troops coming from the National Guard, corruption in NOLA, etc.). Take it with a grain of salt, but a read it and think about it anyway.
