afternoon out at the park

Today there was an open house for my house, which is for sale. Apparently one does not do this until it is clear agents are not "aware" of the house, although since its on the computerized inventory system, I don't quite get that one. Anyway, this one was designed for agents and my agent put the word out, and we did it on Saturday so they could bring clients along if they needed to. We had two agents come by. Oh well. So much for all that effort G-Hopp, SHG and I put into cleaning it. At least the house is all clean and smells nice.

But I digress! We took the dogs out of the house for the duration of the open house and went to the new dog park just SW of downtown. We had a GREAT time! For some reason Bucky was all neurotic on the way into town and whined the whole way, but he got better as we made our way there and then to Ruggles for a great meal, where I had one of the best sandwiches I have ever had (note that I would have linked to their website, but I cannot find it...that's the subject of my next post).

The park is divided into two parts - one for small dogs and one for large dogs. The small dog area is for dogs less than 20 lbs. Both have water features, though the one for small dogs has a fountain, with a tented patio nearby where we speculated that they serve cucumber sandwiches with the crust cut off... the big dog water pond is a big splashing deal with lots of pups having a good time. There are lots of nice muddy areas to play, lots of dry places to hang out, grass, trees, things to pee on, and a pathway with poopie-bag dispensers. It's a really nice park.

Checking things out, little white dog looking at Bucky's ass... hmm...
