I went to early voting today for next Tuesday's elections here in Texas. It was easy, in and out, although I felt like I was in CA reading the comprehensive ballot guide compiled courtesy of the League of Women Voters.
Anyway, why am I pissed off? Because there was a TV on showing the Houston news in the voting ID and balloting room here in Kingwood at the Fire Dept.
Um...if a political ad came on the TV (say, for Mayor Bill White, or about Amendment Prop 2 to the TX constitution, or about the reverse mortgage initiative), does that not void the campaign-free zone around the polling location (which is clearly marked outside)?
I've been stewing over this all night. Maybe I should be a dick and file a complaint.
