arrived

I'm here! Glad to be in Bahrain, I love the Middle East. Trip here was uneventful, although I enjoy hanging in Schipol in Amsterdam for a few hours, it's a nice airport. Check out these guys on the right, who I caught unexpectedly, with the sign over their heads:



Anyway, weather's good here, I had forgotten about the temperature difference between shade and sun: At this time of year, it's really nice in the shade with a constant breeze off the ocean (Bahrain is a wee island off of Saudi Arabia/Qatar), in the sun it's, err, hot. Not scorching. But hot.

Things are really booming here, lots of construction. More interesting photos as they come.
