Pride thoughts, but not mine

I may be over JoeMyGod, but he has some interesting, valid thoughts on Pride parades. I am by no means against them, but I don't think they are as effective as they used to be (or as he notes, do they need to be?), and maybe we can rethink them a little. But not into Gap-wearing, accountant minions. I guess I am just tired of all the hoopla of the significance and impact, vs. it being a big party actually celebrating achievements and goals (which is what I think it is meant to be).

But, I will be a hypocrite, and if I am in Houston probably go, and if I am in Paris, probably go. So sue me.
